A frost attack that freezes the target — causing them to skip their next turn entirely. The Crowd Control component makes Ice Shard the most strategically powerful Cat skill for tough single-target fights.
Ice Shard's freeze buys you an extra attack turn — equivalent to negating the enemy's most dangerous skill. Use it the moment the 80 Adrenaline warning appears ('Enemy is preparing Special!') to prevent the special from firing entirely. Elementalist frost damage bonuses increase the damage component as well.
